IT'S ONLY 2 DAYS AWAY!
With the lovely weather WE are having this week, WE are ecstatic about this year's Open Wide Open benefiting the Red River Valley Dental Access Project!
Over the past few months WE have worked diligently at putting together a fun event that will bring in funds to help support the people in our community that need emergency dental care. WE were over the moon when our Presenting Sponsor from last year, Face and Jaw Surgery Center decided to sign on to another year! WE are very grateful for their support and appreciate that they join us in the mission to help those in need. WE would like to not only thank them but all the other local businesses and people in the FM area that sponsored and/or donated to the Open Wide Open. WE are feeling the love and WE hope to make a difference after a fun Friday of golfing!

Greetings!
What a wonderful last couple months we have had! WE have been busy with the hustle and bustle of the holidays and the day to day grind! In November we were able to work as a team to tie fleece blankets to be donated to the YWCA! This is always a fun day for our team as we get to reflect on the blessing we have and work together to help brighten other's holidays!!
November is also the month that we celebrate the wonderful community of hard-working dental professionals with our annual movie night! This year we got to view the Fantastic Beasts on premier night. We had such a great time visiting with everyone in the industry and expressing our gratitude to everyone for all the hard work they do!
November was a wonderful, fun-filled month for us! :)
Thanks for being a part of what we do! WE TRULY LOVE WHAT WE DO EVERYDAY AND THE COMMUNITY WE WORK IN!

On October 13th, WE Ortho had a day of laughter, tears and many a stories shared. Our beloved, Ruthie, who had been with us for 43 YEARS retired!
The dedication, the commitment and the love are just a few of the characteristics Ruthie displayed daily over the years. WE kicked off the celebration as a team by "kidnapping" Ruthie on October 6th and bringing her to a surprise retirement party where we celebrated with our team and Ruthie's close family and friends. It was a night to remember. Speeches, stories, tears and laughter! A wonderful party for a wonderful gal!
On October 13th, Ruthie's last day and her birthday, WE Ortho had an open house in honor of Ruthie and once again, all the time, love and devotion she has given our company and this community. Patients that came to us a kids came to celebrate Ruthie with their children who are now patients! We like to say that Ruthie has the memory of an elephant! She has remembered face after face, children's faces, parent's faces, vendors, members of the hard working dental community and ALWAYS remembers their names (and most likely has a story to go with it)! We were amazed at the amount of support that poured into our doors on her last day with us!!
To find someone that dedicated and loving that devotes that many years of their life is truly priceless. Our appreciation for Ruthie is never ending and we wish her nothing but the best in her retirement phase of life!
Cheers to you, Ruthie! YOU ARE LOVED!

WE ended September with a bang! Or at least we were hoping to...
On the 29th, we participated in our 3rd Annual "Keep Your Mouth Shut" bowling tournament against Dr. Olson and Dr. Hageman's office! WE were prepped and ready to ROLL! We had the gear (matching outfits duh) and over confident attitudes. The perfect set-up to WIN BIG! Or...sadly, lose!
Dr. Hageman and Dr. Olson are terrific bowlers and their win was well deserved! Good job to the Pediatric Dentistry team!! They took home the trophy on year 1 and 3! WE wish you good luck next year! We have already set-up training days for our staff ;)
Win or lose...WE always have fun!

Hello September...WE love you!! Crisp, cool air. Pumpkin lattes. Bonfires.
The back to school grind is now in full effect. WE hope you are all enjoying your new teachers and settling in for a good year! WE are very excited about the launch of our favorite children's book contest series!! Over the next few months WE will feature a different employees favorite children's book and you get to try and guess whose favorite it is! Prizes will be planned according to the book's theme. WE hope to encourage young readers all while having fun!
This month we are featuring The Berenstain Bears, "The Bear Scouts". Patients have a chance to win $30 to Scheels and extra orthobucks! WE also have a side contest running for our important drivers! All they have to do is simply sign-up for a chance to win a 2017 Minnesota Parks pass!! Then they can scout it out as much as their hearts desire! WE hope to see you in the office and participating in the fun!

It is an all too common scenario. As you enter adulthood, you realize how important your smile and self confidence is. However, the thought of going back to a middle school mentality and getting braces on makes you tread water and post pone any type of treatment plan that involves braces, brackets & months of a metal mouth. However, the reality of it is most adult treatment plans are not that bad! As an adult you are able to follow the Doctor's recommendations and instructions, therefore you complete treatment in a timely matter...sometimes sooner!

"A year and a half ago, the thought of getting braces as an adult didn't exactly make me ecstatic. But I couldn't possibly have asked for a better orthodontist experience from Dr. West or Dr. Ehlis so far. Today, Dr. Ehlis took extra time to answer several of my questions and explain options related to my remaining orthodontia treatment, and even though he had other patients to get to, he dedicated time to make sure all my questions were answered and that I understood everything he was saying. That level of comfort and care is hard to come by. If you're dreading getting braces like I was, it won't be as bad as you expect if you choose West and Ehlis."

Is it already that time of year again? Crayola boxes and backpacks everywhere you look! We wanted to join in on the fun, so we decided to spice up our August patient contest and take it up a notch! WE are pretty sure that there is not really anyone out there that doesn't like Blake Shelton, right? I mean, come on. He's the best! So, we came up with a fun way to try and win tickets to his concert in September! For every 5 items of school supplies that you donate to our school supplies drive, you get to sign-up for a chance to win tickets to see Mr. Blake! The more you give, the better your chances are!
Going back to school can't be that bad if you win Blake Shelton ticket, eh?

Ants in our pants is an understatement! We are so excited for tomorrow!! We have been busy prepping for the annual patient appreciation party! It is always fun to have a picnic in the park, but when you add in caricatures, Games to Go, face painting, a DJ, sno cones and PRIZES, it makes for a REALLY good time!!! This year our party will be held at Rheault Farms in South Fargo. It is such a nice park for playing, visiting, and eating!
We are extra thrilled about an new addition we have added to the party this year and that is one of our very own patients will be there doing a book signing. On June 28th, our very own wonderful assistant, Destinee, welcomed her first baby boy. He joined this bright, beautiful world at 7:15 am and weighed in at 6 lbs and 3 oz and 19.5 inches long. So, basically the perfect size for all things baby...snuggling, cuddling, cooing. He is the most perfect little guy and we are thrilled to have new member added to the WE family!

Hey! Where did that sunshine go? WE are hoping it comes back in time for a sunny, fun-filled Memorial Day weekend for all our friends, lake bound or not ;)
As the week passes, each day brings us closer to our 8th Annual Open Wide Open Golf Scramble! WE have been working diligently at raising money for The Red River Valley Access Dental Project and are so thankful to our 2016 sponsors! We will have games set-up on the various holes that allow players to donate the day of with chances to win some super cool prizes, such as a new golf bag, gift cards & a YETI cooler (thanks again to our sponsors)!

WOW! What a crazy, fun-filled couple of weeks we have had at WE Ortho. WE are ecstatic to be living our new brand, WE are energized and feeling refreshed and ready for a fun summer filled with awesome events!
The 8th Annual Open Wide Open is set for June 3, 2016. It is a great day filled with networking, sun and GOLF! We are so happy with the outreach we have received from our sponsors. All proceeds from the event benefit the Red River Valley Dental Access Project, a much needed charity in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
